*For the second year in a row, we made the Inc. 500|5000 List (#721) as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America! We are so proud of the hard work we’ve done, and we’re looking forward to continuing this growth in the future. Of course, a huge “thank you” is due to all of our amazing customers. You guys are truly the best!

Minnesota Business Magazine just named us one of their “100 Best Companies to Work For” in 2012!
According to the publication, “The 100 Best Companies to Work For competition salutes Minnesota organizations that are setting the standard for leadership, benefits, best work environment, innovative training programs and employee happiness.”
We already knew that ShopJimmy was a cool and collaborative place to work, but this honor makes it official! If you’re looking to work with us, we invite you to check-out our Careers page.
Our very own Jimmy “Golden Voice” Vosika chatted with WCCO’s John Hines yesterday about ShopJimmy and its “dumb luck” beginnings. Listen to it here!

The Star Tribune ran an great article this weekend about us, Jimmy, and our recent recycling efforts. Here’s an excerpt from the article by Star Tribune writer, Neal St. Anthony:
“Jimmy Vosika has turned the dark side of our love of flat-panel TVs into a growth machine, five years after he started ShopJimmy.com in his garage.
Vosika, a one-time Delta Air Lines baggage handler and computer programmer, turned an idea he had while working for his father-in-law’s recycling company in 2006 into a specialty recycler that refurbishes plasma and LCD TVs, and sells parts nationally through a workforce of nearly 100 full-time and contract workers.”
You can read the full article here. Thanks, Star Tribune!
We can finally announce (after weeks of teasers and hints) that we made Inc. Magazine’s 2011 500|5000 List for the fastest-growing private companies in America! Out of nearly 7 million private companies in the U.S., we’re #224 on the list! With a 2007-2010 growth rate of 1,426%, we join the prestigious group of current and past Inc. honorees, including Microsoft, Vizio, and Oracle.
As always, we want to thank you–our loyal and awesome customers–for your business and support these past four years!
Here’s Jimmy accepting NESDA’s “PARTners in Excellence” Award (third year straight!) from NESDA Executive Director Mack Blakely at NPSC last month. Notice anything odd about the plaque? Although we like to consider ourselves a “friend of service,” it’s just a dummy plaque they had Jimmy hold until they mail us the real thing. Thanks to all who nominated us and voted on our behalf!

Hey all! Check out our cool article in the June issue of NESDA’s ProService Magazine! It’s on pages 6-7!
Today at the Reverse Logistics Association’s 2011 Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, we were awarded the Best Reverse Logistics Vendor Solution Award! According to RLA, this is “awarded to the company that provides the most effective and innovative solutions and tools for supporting reverse execution.”
Thank you, RLA! We’re definitely honored!
Stay tuned — more information and pictures to come…
According to Minnesota-based publication, Finance & Commerce, we are the “ultimate search engine for TV parts.” Wow. While we really strive to have an innovative website, that label is very flattering and humbling. Thank you to Finance & Commerce and Suzy Frisch for the awesome article!*
A little more about Finance & Commerce — they provide “news, analysis, and commentary on Minnesota business.” They’re also the only “independent daily newspaper dedicated to business reporting.” They’re definitely a great group of journalists and editors, who also covered Jimmy’s Ernst & Young award in June. Thanks again!
*Note: you need to be a subscriber to read the full article.
The Reverse Logistics Association — RLA — syndicated our recent feature in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal on their homepage and in their weekly news clippings!

RLA is a leading trade association focused on “…Third Party Service Providers to whom OEMs, ODMs, Branded and Retail companies outsource. The Reverse Logistics Association monitors thousands of 3PSPs worldwide who are providing Aftermarket Supply Chain services, while supporting the outsourcing needs of OEM, ODM, Branded and Retail companies.”
We appreciate the support, RLA!
The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal published a great article about our unique business model and growing success. As avid readers of this popular, weekly newspaper covering Twin Cities business happenings, we’re excited and honored. Here’s an excerpt from the piece:
The company, which prides itself on beating any distributor’s price by 15 percent (assuming the same warranty), started out in a 20,000-square-foot warehouse in Bloomington, and is now expanding into leased space at a warehouse in Lino Lakes. In
September, it will embark on its biggest expansion yet: taking European orders through a new division near London.
A big thanks to Tara for the eloquent article, as well as, George Weiss — NESDA Region Three Director — for the flattering comments!
We’d like to thank Joe, Ron, and the rest at NESDA of Ohio for the gracious mentions in the latest issue of “The Speaker” about our “PARTners in Excellence” Award and our high-quality images!
Keep up the great content!
Twin Cities Business, one of Minnesota’s premier business publications, profiled each of Ernst & Young’s 2010 Upper Midwest Entrepreneur of the Year winners for the cover story of their August issue! Click here to read their take on the prestigious award, and then click here to read their profile of Jimmy.
While subscribers of Twin Cities Business have received their copy of the August issue, look for it to hit shelves at Barnes & Nobel or Borders sometime this week!
On behalf of everyone here at ShopJimmy, including Jimmy (of course!), we’d like to thank Twin Cities Business for the recognition and great feature!
