What is a main logic board?

The main logic board is found in plasma TVs and drives the video signal/data received from the main board and sends that information to the buffer boards and Y-sustain board.

Which symptoms does a main logic board fix in a TV?

•  If one side of your TV screen is distorted or blank and the other side is working, then the main logic board could be bad.

•  If your TV has no video, then the main logic board could be bad.

•  If there is no “on screen display” or your TV menu doesn’t appear, the main logic board could be bad.

*These are helpful tips to get you started and don’t represent accurate diagnoses for every TV model and failure. If you’re unsure of your diagnosis, we recommend checking out our YouTube channel or reaching out to a local TV technician for assistance.

How easy is it to replace a main logic board?

It's easy! Once you match the part number on your main logic board with the part number listed on this page to confirm compatibility, you’ll just need a screwdriver and the ability to remove the back of your TV and replace the board.
