Jimmy and a few SJ Partologists, Adam and Justin, are already in Vegas gambling setting-up our booth and preparing for the tech madness that is CES. Frank, Nate, and I are flying there this afternoon.
Anyway, like I mentioned earlier, I’ll post CES updates, news, and rumors each day until Sunday, January 10th. I’ll try to sneak a few pictures (media/press are only allowed to take photos), too.
Although I’m not there yet, the online hype for new product launches and innovative technologies is mounting at a supersonic pace. Do a real-time, Google search for “CES” and you’ll see what I mean!
One of the hot trends, so far, is wireless HD. LG held a press conference this morning and showcased their new TVs with baked-in (included) AMIMON technology. Basically, this will allow the viewer to watch 1080p via a source over a 5GHz unlicensed band.

LG hasn’t specified which TVs will have this feature, but 15 other companies have also announced that they’ll include WHDI in future products. You can now begin happily saying goodbye to the tangled web of wires behind your TV.
