Remember when you hated us because we launched a new website and you couldn’t browse by brand and model anymore? Yeah, you were kinda grumpy! Normally I wouldn’t blog about adding products to our site because we add 600-800 parts to our site on any given day, well today is different. We found several thousand items that didn’t import into our new site when we switched over, we verified that every single one was actually in stock and then queued them for upload tonight. Right now I am running the import process of 5,493 items and it should be done any minute. If you haven’t used the new site:
1. Please go to https://www.shopjimmy.com/customer/account/login/ and create an account, it is a good idea to set the account up now even if you don’t need a part yet.
2. Once your account is created, please call us 1-877-881-6492 or email us and tell them you created an account and want your discounts applied to it. This way, every time you are logged-in in the future and add something to the cart, you will see a reduced price and free shipping. No more coupon codes.
3. And that’s it, you’re all set; you can start placing $10,000 orders right away.
If you are having problems navigating the site here are some helpful hints:
You will see that you can no longer browse by brand and model, thankfully public caning isn’t legal or I would be in a world of hurt for removing that feature. You techs are all a bunch of young guys who welcome change and embrace it and I think you will adjust just fine. If not, we will bring it back but please try the search first.
One nice thing about our site is we have a powerful search finally. Here are some examples:
o If you searched TH-42PZ700U POWER (or even TH-42PZ700U POWER SUPPLY) - you would get two results and both are out-of-stock 
.
o If you modify your search a little and leave off part of the model number by searching for TH-42PZ7 POWER SUPPLY you will get 13 results, 2 power supplies from the 700U series and 11 results from the 77U series, both with the same part number.
o And as another alternative, when we first searched for TH-42PZ700U POWER we got two out-of-stock results, if you clicked on one of the parts and went to the product page, you will see that on the right hand side there is a link to find more parts with that part number, clicking that will open a search for ETX2MM681MF and you will get the 13 results as in the last example.
o Say you wanted to find a panel, you could search LC470WU4 PANEL and you would get one result for an in-stock panel.
o Let’s say instead you wanted a backlight inverter so you searched for the model number of the TV and we didn’t have it listed; try a search for the panel number and board type for example, search for LC470WU4 INVERTER and your parts would appear.
o How about you need an LJ44-00101A so you search that and we are all out, do you a) tell the customer they are out of luck or b)remove the last letter of the part number and re-search? B! You can search partial part numbers, the same as you can do with partial model numbers, so if you searched LJ44-00101, it would return results for LJ44-00101A, LJ44-00101B and LJ44-00101C. That’s not a good example because they are all out of stock but you get the point.
Last tip: Make sure you enter model numbers like they appear on the TVs, so TH-50PX60U doesn’t work if you enter TH50PX60U, it should work soon but not yet.
